על הגוף on the body

writing on one’s body
a sacred act a ritual
you slip up on it
like being too busy to pray,
but with plenty of time
for guilt.

don’t wait
until it rubs off.
re
inforce
it
daily.

make yourself sick
with ink poisoning.

write down every
thing.
it is an opportunity.
you don’t know when
you will be able
to sell it.

write
down
every
thing.
it is an obligation.
you don’t know when
you will forget
your own history.

change it up.
write something different
once in a while.
צדק צדק תרדוף
your silence will not protect you
יש אבילות בלי תירוצים
לחם וורדים
a line from amichai
a declaration
אני הפגנה.

DO NOT
draw flags
on your body.

didn’t you see the sign,
“god hates flags”?

if you know your history you will know —
words are sacred.
if you know your self you will know —
your body is sacred.
