eyal in concert

14 july 2011

i am writing to the sound of your voice
& your guitar
wishing i was sketching
a web cam’s view of your face
i keep looking up and seeing myself,
getting used to my new haircut,
imagining you rockstar on a spaceship
ripped blue tights and silver shirt open
you sing,
“make me a poster,
just tell me one thing i can hold on to.”
there’s always something about posters.
you can sing in hebrew my language of silence
you can sing bravely
next time i will read passionately punctuated
with giggles
for good measure
we can throw stones
at each other
before we will be able
to throw them at the world
here,
where we feel each other
from one end of the country to another
across the vast empty expanse of the internet,
love.
