mother nature

10 march 2011 / 4 adar II 5771

mother nature is a giant she
has hair that blows in the wind she
has no feet just skirts that sweep the ground soft like spirits she
calls
down
the rain
onto the city

and
the trees and the buildings and the people answer her
and take it in
soaking & drinking
& our thirsts are quenched
or we drown

the sky is yellow and gray watercolor
with a hint of blue underneath
the birds are black ink drawn in with a pen after the fact
the underbelly of the clouds are words
taken
from news
papers;

stories.
